Minehole/Claim question.

I've built a minehole in my main base.
Does the Claim Pole (Above ground) also count at the underground level?

If not, is it the best option to built a new claim with an alt at the underground level?

A claim above-ground on a mine hole will not transfer to the mine hole's lower level. You need to build a separate claim below.

If you have village you can build banner easy underground to extending claim. Maybe easier to you than having multiple personal claim. It is not hard to upkeep village authority, even as solo player.
