Wrecking ball and palisade

/Gods, i'm trying to bash my old palisade and make a brick wall: wrecking ball is really a pain. Placing it to bash the wall is incredibly difficult, there's no way to understand if t's in the right position or not. I've already assembled and disassembled it in various positions, farther and nearer to the wall, with pegs vs wall or not, no way to get the wreck option. Do i miss something?

Let it dry maybe?

Nah, the wreck option appears immediately, but you simply cannot bash the wall, if placement is okay, else no option (and you won't have it even after dry time)

btw, i'm using ender's client.

You may have placed it in a way that the wrecking ball is positioned on the line between two wall segments and in that case the wreck option appears but you are unable to actually destroy anything so you'll have to place it again and make sure you center the wrecking ball to a single wall segment.

Maybe i was not clear: i've tried many times placing the wrecking ball, no wreck option.

Oh my mistake. I don't know then if you've tried out all the ways you can think of, ctrl placement as close as possible? With pegs facing away from wall.

Yep, right now i'm still trying placement with ctrl...pegs away... nothing. -_- nearly 1 hour up now.

Ok, seems i found an easier way: i placed myself with back between the tile i wanted to bash and the one at the left, dropped the wrecking ball in front of the tile to bash, all seems okay. Took a while.

Lift it right click on it in your hands and you'll get an image of it to place now shift and mouse wheel to spin it and right click to place.
