Still doing the tutorial and i'm stuck on "Visit Nauwell"

To get to Nauwell I need to cross a river.... The only problem is I can't train or get swimming to swim across the river and I don't have the recipe for a boat so i'm stuck on this. I have already come across a few problems in these tutorial quests which really does make me want to give up on this game. I have spent about 1 hour total doing these quests and that reason was I was supposed to get 10000% energy (full energy) yet I was only at 5000% energy so I had to go across the whole map searching for berries for 30-45 minutes to get to full energy. Sorry but this game has a terrible tutorial while it tells me how to play the game it just takes way too long (at least for me somehow). Question is how do I get to Nauwell....

That is not a tutorial quest...it's a general quest you can do to earn some stuff...ignore that, take your time, read about the game and enjoy the process of playing...this game has one of the best gameplay ever (between MMO).
You are lucky to have a tutorial to start now...most of the peope here never had a tutorial .
P.S. If you learn Swimming.....watch your stamina or you will drown...and permadeath.
