Well and water ql

Hi to all, is there a way to know if there's decent ql water around, so to make a well in the right place, or do i have to place wells around and hope to find at least not ql 10?

I assume quality for well and quality for river/lake waters is same node map. Near some good river waters should be good wells I think. This is just speculating, maybe some advance player can confirm.

That's exactly my fear, so if i have rivers around and ql is everywhere 10, i can assume that the best i can get is... ql 10. I feel that the new system that let you know where there's the best area to place a well is just... worthless. Besides the fact that i can find that just easily by trying to place the well around until i find the best spot, we just need wells to get, eventually, better ql water, else a well is not so important.

The new system allows you to find out where it's the easiest to build a well which is somewhat useful but not the most important factor. You can build a well anywhere, so for example anyone can have low q water inside their base for whatever reason.

To get high q water.

Search the rivers and lakes until you find a high q node, sorry but it really is the only way. Odds are that the center of the node will not be accessible but instead will be located on land. If you closely inspect how the q of water changes and in which direction in the parts of the node that are accessible you can make an educated guess as to where the exact center of the node should be.

For example I'm now stockpiling rope to "pay" the cost of nearly 50 pieces in a place where I expect to find half decent water. If the q is high enough then it's really worth it to use hearth magic (dig deeper spell) and make it even better.

What is the quality level for a decent water?
Also, are materials needed related with the quality? More ropes it needs better the quality will be? I made 30 ropes for a 20 quality.... :cry:

no relation between materials and ql, a decent ql i suspect is around 40, at least (maybe that 40 is the start decent for any item ql, except foraged ones)

When I play in group of 3 people we have access to 50 quality waters. You can check around trade forum and maybe there can see what larger groups are having.

Unrelated. Material is based on how deep water is under ground.
