wrecking ball not doing any damage, plz help!

hello. i have taken over an abandoned village. i've managed to rebuild the village idol. however there is still 1 banner left and it's inside a cave on a claim at the entrance. i tried putting a wrecking ball on each the banner and the claim pole, and neither wrecking ball is doing solid damage to the structures. it's showing damage written in pink color. i tried without str gear it was 49,i put on some str gear and it goes up to 50 but still pink and it's doing no damage to the structures overall. i'm not quite sure what i need to do to get rid of them. please help does anyone know what to do? thanks!

The wrecking ball can only be used for destroying walls...you have to destroy the banner and claim pole by hand. Or, sledgehammer or pickaxe...

hmm was that a recent patch cuz i could have swore i destroyed the others with wrecking balls. idk i cant remember. might be just crazy. but thank you very much for the info! i'll try that ty ^^

EDIT: update, i tried using the sledgehammer on the banner. it worked! it's coming down. however tried using it on the claim pole, it wont even let me do the animation of the destroying to the claim pole, he just acts like he's walking towards it and just stops. not sure what the deal is with that.

Look at the system messages, maybe there is a clue in them?

Perhaps something is blocking the way?
