Mining Questions

Postby kemil88 » Wed Sep 21, 2016 3:01 pm

So, I have 12 Mining and a Q7 mining Axe, I understand it's very bad, but still I should be able to remove walls if the game allow me to mine them, right?
Anyway.
Does a wall reset when I stop mining it? Because I did consume my stamina 3 times trying to mine a single wall and it's still there!

No walls don't reset.
whether or not it breaks is random.

A tile can take many cycles to remove, or it can take only a couple. I'm not really sure of the mechanic behind it as there are too many possible variables. I don't think it's completely random, though. Too much time mining tells me otherwise.

That said, every cycle you can mine on a tile is a chance to get a piece of ore or stone. Ideally it lasts a while so you have the most number of chances to get something out of it. Again, also something I don't think anyone has investigated is the amount of ore/stone you get out of a particular tile. It certainly appears to be purely random.

What would your pack have to do with it? Equipment and items have no encumbrance here. Your only limit is space.

I did think maybe it would equip the boulder on the back like when lifting thing, so I did think it would not do it because there was already the backpack in the back

Ah. Yeah, you can keep all equipment on when lifting items. (Didn't even think of that as being a possible logical step a new player would make.)

Mining in Haven yields a piece of stone in your inventory or piece of ore (if mining an ore tile). You may also get one of a few somewhat rare random curios.

I made a new Q15 axe with mined stones and a random branch (still too early to think about growing high quality trees) hope that it'll help me..

If you are too tired to mine 2 times in a row, does it count the first mining? Because I am trying to break a wall that consumes all my energy with 1 "round" of mining
