About the friend system

I did read it's not possible anymore to have a friend spawn near you, so, how can I play with friends and make a village with them? I know they have disable the Secret feature to prevent players from forming alt villages, but today I did try to find a friend, with a boat, and before I did find him, I was in a new Bioma, and yet his was in another one, he did stop playing before finding each other

EDIT: And yes, we were in party together, so we were following the arrow, but yet, we didn't find each other

Its better to just make a wilderness beacon and have him spawn on that

Thank you, too bad I did think I should have turned it on with "Light Fire" and instead it did turn on when I did put the password XD I hope my friend will log in soon
