Hearth Magic Requirements

I was explaining the different hearth magics to a new player, and we realized that they only had 4 magics available while I had over 10. I assume most of them are gated behind either discoveries or skills. For example, I assume you need Fishing to unlock Fisher's Request for a Catch. But does anyone know what you would need to unlock ones like Gilding Song or Polish the Silver? I thought you might just need to unlock a craftable gilding or symbel item, but that didn't seem to do it.
