Horse feeding

Is there a way to replanish horses stamina? All I can find about it is one year ago where one on the devs say you can't.

Food trough or let it eat grass.

If it is a wild horse, no you can't refill its stamina.
If you have tamed it (hitching and beating it into submission over a few days' time, not just feeding it a single clover), then it can eat from a food trough if it's within its radius.
