Bear dropped item?

I was hunting a bear ( failed attempt ) and it dropped this while running away, i can't lift, pick it up, dig it, or anything, it even appeared on the map like a forageable, sadly the screenshot i got of it was to big of a file size, but it looked small red and sort of like a piece of meat

That is likely a blood spatter from it bleeding, this is part if the new update they did this week.

Just remember that you can follow the blood trail and it is possible the animal will bleed to death at some point.
