Rope stockpile

Had a little conversation with jorb about subject...

Hmm... May ask, what was the reason to limit this stockpile capacity to 25? it takes 1 tile and still worse than storing in cupboards, so I assume it was implemented for the only purpose of storing building materials near building site. May sound quite reasonable, but we have only 2 structures demanding huge rope stock - well and knarr. And I highly doubt someone will use rope-stockpiles covering building sites of these ones while building...
So, was is the point of this stockpile at all? Make it hold 50 ropes - and it can save some space, but with 25 - it is absolutely useless... Or Im just too dumb/blind to see some possibilities...

It allows you to store rope without building any sort of container. Yes.

and though Im not an expert in English, I mostly sure he said "yes, you're dumb" )
So I want to ask the community 2 questions:
1. Can you describe all the situations you can imagine where you can use rope stockpile with limit of 25 items instead of cupboard with 32 ropes?
2. Do you think you will ever use rope stockpile with its current capacity more than once just to see how it looks like?

You can stick it outside without the cupboard blowing up. Plus, if you have stockpiles within range of a build site, the site will pull from the stockpiles.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I've already used it quite a bit. It's a lot easier than moving around a bunch of cups or LC's, all for only 7 more ropes.

one thing over all: no need to browse over 10's of cupboards to know where u put the ropes. The best part is that ropes generally are not worth more for ql, or you don't build things with ql with ropes, so no need to find the best ones, wich becomes annoying in stockpiles.

The size of the rope stockpiles is fine, imho. My only problem is with the metal stockpiles because of their hitbox.

Always keep a full stockpile near my animal pens in case I need to move them around, the stockpile makes it easier to find them instead of rummaging through the several containers I have around.
