Where do I find q50-60+ clay?

I got my survival to around 60 and I have been looking everywhere for q50-60 clay (specifically ball clay) practically all day long. I've traveled extremely far and have dug in every shore I could find. I can't seem to find anything higher than q40 ball clay. Does it cap at 40 and only 41q+ clay can be found in acre or other clay types? Or am I just really unlucky and I'm not looking in the right places?

If anyone can give me advice I'd appreciate it. I don't want to trade for it. I really just want to know if it's even possible to find ball clay past 40q or if I have to adopt other means to get a higher grade.

I guess its just so rare that you really have to look everywhere for it, my personal record is ql45 so cant Say if there are better nodes

There are three 50q+ ball clay nodes in my area, all claimed mind ... so it is around, you just have to keep looking for it. I've also found two on my travels further afield ... also claimed. If you get lucky you can dig at the edges, I get six bits of 51q clay from one of the ones near me before the q drops, so it takes time to amass any amount, but it's still better than 45q.

I'm not aware of anything that takes ball clay over acre clay. Why not search nearby mudflats, too, as quality nodes exist irrelevant to where the resources are found.

Maybe it is because ball clay regenerates and acre clay doesnt. So after you dig several pieces of acre clay, there is no more left %)

You can dig acre clay spots very, very deep, though. I'm not going to say it's going to be reliable for massive amounts, but don't just ignore it just because it'll eventually run out.
