Animal Taming Problem

Postby Artyom15 » Wed Oct 05, 2016 7:20 pm

So I found that just punching an animal in the face (Either mouflon or auroch) isn't enough and that gets me fucking destroyed.

Using a sword with an auroch works - and I just tamed my first animal, ever, in Haven.

But when I was taming sheep I used a sword - and despite peacing out at the beginning, they dropped the fuck dead when I engaged them the second time. First time with sword and sheep? Got 15 points. Second time? They fucking died. That was after I releashed and waited another period.

My question is - Why? Why did the cow survive but the sheep didn't? I need wool god damnit!

Before pvp changes you just needed some armor and agility depending on beast type.

With the new system I'm not sure cause Im noob

Try using uppercut and flex as your attacks, build a small-medium amount of blue opening using flex first and then build a similar amount of yellow using uppercut. Your punches with uppercut at these openings should do a decent amount of damage but not so much as a sword, just be careful of your damage as obviously the yellow opening will continue to raise as you punch.

Dash + Artful Evasion (and perhaps Zig Zag) are likely the most useful defensive skills that you need, it will help you a lot if you can to build some IP from a distance when you begin the taming process so that when you're actually fighting it you can focus more on the animal's openings and know that you have enough IP to manage your own openings using dash and artful evasion. Put on oak stance for better defense and less weight to your punches.
