A question on Beehives

Postby Redlaw » Thu Oct 13, 2016 9:09 pm

I normaly use one per set area of crops.... but I keep seeing picks of people with 3+ beehives per area of crops. Is that effective or just over doing it.

Well, basically it helps growing the crops faster and based on the ammount of crops it gives wax faster, BUT, they don't share the effect, so with 1 or 3 wax the crops will grow at the same rate, and if one would recive a 1-day reduction on the speed to give wax, 2 will recive a 12h reduction, etc...so yeah problably they just want to gather wax as fast as possible

I know how the beehive works, I have used them for a long time. I was wondering if stacking them was a good idea, since I keep seeing pics of people doing that,

This, especially if you have 50+ of the same crop that will all advance in stage within an hour or two of each other, like carrots or beetroots. Hives regenerate their "boost" charges at about six per hour if memory serves me right, so one hive for a full radius of crops isn't really going to do much acceleration. The change was implemented with world 8, and wasn't in the announcements.

It regenerate 50 per 6 hour, that's why it's one beehive per 50 tiles.
