Easy Taming method?

Postby clefa221 » Fri Oct 14, 2016 4:03 pm

I know that you are able to do easy combat by using a boat and doing a hit and run strategy, can I possibly use this strategy to tame an animal such as a horse?

nope taming takes time , so you would have to first feed a clover then hitch it over and over again , would work if you hitch it next to water but that is just 100% please kill this animal sign :P

But given that I currently can't fight animals to tame them normally, this is an option, although if anyone comes by, they could mess it up?

It is not about taming, but my question is related to the similar thing.
What if I feed a clover to an auroch or a boar, then I leash them so they don't run and jump into the boat and stand in 2-3 tiles in deep water. Then if I shoot the animal, would it be able to run away?

An animal needs to be able to reach you to peace you, at least in the old combat system. Blocking it in used to make taming fail, I assume it is the same now. The best you can do is stack ip, then fight it when ready. They don't run though, obviously, so it's not too onerous.

When you attack it it unleashes you aggro you, if you made it flee with one shot, I'm not sure but I would expect so.
