Pulling hairs while taming?

So I'm taming an Auroch right now, and I'm wondering if I can pull it's hair if it gets into combat mode.

Last time I remembered, feeding an auroch a clover then picking its hair's doesn't aggro it. Better to be safe than sorry though.

Doesn't work. It'll knock your ass out when you pull it, clover or no clover. Found that out the hard way. Then I asked. Lol.
