Breaking the metal barrier

Postby DaJovialJove » Fri Oct 28, 2016 12:36 am

I've been playing the game for a good two months now, and I still haven't gotten metal. I have access to a cave but couldn't find any metal in it so far. All the different mining guides tell me to just pick a direction and smack rocks while avoiding cave ins. I do have access to rustroot. How did you get metal and how long did it take?

have you done any prospecting? prospect the area above the cave, find some ore, go into the cave and mine in the direction of it.

just prospect with rustroot and all will be so much easy...remember that the map outside is specular to the cave system, so if you prospect near a cave, you can follow directions to get to a prospected vein.

What an interesting choice in words. Having thought about it a bit, I can see that it's actually kind of fitting, but it's not even close to idiomatic English, at least from anything I've heard or seen previously. Is it idiomatic to some... Romance language, or something?

As for me, I also found it with rustroot. It really helps if the quality is above 10.

Heh, i'm italian, lots of different words in my vocabulary, even the english one :p

Also: try to use 2 different extract ql: one with low ql, under 15 if you can, and the other a bit more. Use the first when you start to localize a vein with the second one.

A pickaxe really helps , Im west of Sevilla and can provide you one for free if you pick it up. PM if interested.

I had a hard time at first two trying to mine with the axe, took an entire bar of stamina to get one rock from the wall. Pickaxe speeds it up greatly.
