combat damage

is there any way to not take ANY damage?

do i need high ua?
if my armor is good enough will they just ping off?

ants have armor penetration, but yeah, if you have high enough mc/ua and good armor, you wont take any damage

im takin the 1 hits all the time even tho my armor and melee are pretty high

Animals will always at minimum do 1 shp/hhp damage to you if they get your openings high enough

Your armor will only take damage if the animal does more damage than it deflects

So it can never deflect more than animals do?
It makes no sense why you can always take 1 hp no matter what.

In other RPG games you always tend to take at least 1-2 hitpoints worth of damage even if you get hit by something you far outweigh in stats/levels. It makes sense from a gameplay perspective, not even the toughest hunters are immune to a few "Nicks & Knacks" or "Bumps and Bruises"
