Problem crafting image?

I have all the ingredients but it says I am missing something.
It says I need 3770 linseed oil and I have 37.88L in a barrel, I have also tried holding 2 buckets.
I am assuming 1 unit of pigment on the crafting menu is 0.01kg of pigment in the inventory than I do meet the required amount.
And lastly I got 2 prepared animal hide in my inventory, when I put more in it keeps only 2 highlighted to I assume that is not my issue.
I'm so confused.

What are you crafting?
And iirc, you cannot use stuff from barrels directly. Try putting a bunch of buckets filled with linseed oil (4 in this case) in a container and try crafting it. Also, try crafting it with more dye, maybe it's that.

The sketch. Just a simple one to test it out.
Ah yeah okay, putting buckets into a cabinet worked.
There is another sketch I uploaded that takes 557L of oil, it does take a high psyche to craft it, but for future reference, how would I store 56 buckets and reach it from one spot? Each cabinet can hold 12 bucket, I would need to have 5 cabinets open...?

I would assume, yeah, there's a way to open 6 cabs at once so that should be enough hopefully.
Or maybe not make sketches that require 557L of Linseed oil.

The idea is, I think, to encourage you to buy sketchpads for making a lot of images in the game or for very complex images.

There are also some guides around on decreasing needed resources for your sketches by fiddling with color settings and such. I'd have to dig to find them, and not everyone has found them helpful.

10 linseed oil is 0.10 litters, 3770 is 377 litters.
You just need to reduce image quality.

The idea is, I think, to encourage you to buy sketchpads for making a lot of images in the game or for very complex images.

i guess it would encourage people to buy $5 protest sign and tell em good!

but 4 real there is no other use for linseed oil except some pie that is only good during early game
