Leashed animals disappearing?

As the title says, our little group has been having this issue for a while now, and we cant seem to figure it out for ourselves, or find anything really relating to this. We keep these animals inside a palisade, so nobody is just sneaking in to release them for lols, but after a taming sessions, people log in the next day, and the animals are always gone. We make sure to leash them again after taming, incase thats a thing, but have also tried doing the opposite. At a loss, so any help would be appreciated

I've been having the *exact* same issue with animals disappearing, specifically Mouflon.

The only thing that comes to mind is that they need to be re-leashed. I lost a few animals that way myself before I got the hang of it.

maybe diffrent people re-leashing same animal is the reason . i am doing it alone never experince disappearing animal .

Maybe you are not checking often enough. I think that if the animal is in angry mode for too long, it despawns. Maybe you need to check every 12 hours instead of every 24.
