Anyone know if sublime portico can be built underground?

I want to make a village claim just for sublime portico, but I want to make my village underground so its low profile.


Are there any security advantages for a village claim over my personal claim , as a hermit? Should i just make it above ground?

Not sure if the sublime portico can be built below, but I don't see why not.
Village claims cover a larger area, they don't need lp to expand but they cost LP over time, so it can be more expensive in the long run. They can also be used to claim on levels below you, but cannot go up.
Anyone can walk onto a village claim but not your personal one obv.

Yes, you can build the portico underground ... you can build your village above ground and extend it below by building a banner in your cave so long as it is within the boundaries of the claim above.

Because you cant build charterstones underground, for example.

Yeah my worry. I know there's lp drai. The fact that villages can't go up layrrs is why am trying to find out 100% if I build my village underground tgat I will be able to make a portico there, considering charter stones are limited.

And I would rather not have a village claim above ground, unless there is a security advantage(more claim shield or sometging)to alert raiders and make them think I have treasure worth the effort of rolling my brick wall.I have 100 quality flax and that's all the treasure I got, but if I get rolled, lack of loot won't help me...

So amanda44, this being the internet and realm of assumptions may I clarify if you know 100% for sure that it can be done? I see you post a lot with accurate Information, but a little checknis easier than having to build two villages...

Yes, I can confirm 100% ... I have one built underground.

You are. Nobody literally cares. Creating a village costs nothing, and you wont become a target immediately.

I know it's been years but now the wiki says Sublime Porticos cannot be built underground.
Is that true?

Also, why can't I build one? Do I need to make or visit a charter stone first?
I have Lawspeaking and know the materials so what trigger am I missing?
