didn't unlock the rootfill recipe

I managed to get attacked by a boar and lost 39 HHP from cruel Incision, I only got around 5 hours on this character therefore crafting gauze or stitch patch isn't an option. Then after a hard time I found one strange root and some laurel leaves but don't unlock the recipe for rootfill. Am I missing something?

if you have unlocked both the strange root and the laurel leave, that's the only thing i can think you are missing
