A few questions

Postby bryan2384 » Sat Dec 31, 2016 4:06 pm

Hello! So I have a few days in the game, and just have a questions that would love answered. I've searched for the answers and didn't find any, but forgive if I somehow missed them.

1. Is there a way to move a dropped object? Just placing some already built crates in my home, and would like them to line up perfectly.
2. HFs. I understand you can't walk through other people's HFs, but I seem to be able to do so. Are they old HFs? I notice their green flame isn't as bright as mine...?
3. Do higher abilities allow for the discovery of new recipes? Or as long as I have at least one point in a given abilities, if I discovery all the items in that recipe, I will be able to build it?
4. I notice I can eat some berries, but not all. What gives?
5. Lastly, is there any group out there looking for people to join in the new world? I have experience from many other sandboxes (Wurm, mostly), so you'll get your money's worth outta me.

Thank you, and have a Happy New Year!!!

1. adventure -> lift (when you lift dont right click on the ground, right click lifted item and you have the ability to pick how its placed on the ground )
2. no idea :o
3.you get new recipes when you discover all required materials (finding them at abandoned containers does not count toward discovery ) and have appropiate entries like carpentry or metal working.

also for placing object, such as crates or cupboards, holding shift and using a scrollwheel on your mouse will rotate the object, and holding ctrl and moving mouse will allow for more exacting placement, for much more information on the game and many of it's contents I recommend using the wiki @ http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Haven_and_Hearth_Wiki

4. some berries are not edible by humans and those are also in-game hence eating them would lead to your death or atleast huge diarhea which in wilderness equals death as well!

2. I'd have to double check on this. I thought all HF hitboxes were removed because people were using them as cheap ways to block entry to buildings and gates, but maybe I'm wrong. edit: not finding it in announcements. I seem to recall something of this nature as it was an earlier game method of protecting a house, gates, and such, and was used for griefing in some cases.

5. The above recruitment post is fine, I guess, but in general, check out the forum it is in, Dwarves & Thieves.

I didn't search it as a compound word. Damn jorb and his lackadaisical use of grammar.

Thanks for that, borka.
