Hi.

For all of us like me that haven't played much w9, can you guys tell us the major updates included in this word?
I'll keep this first post updated with every single record you include.

I haven't been on W9 in several months so I logged in yesterday with a new char and looked around.

Big things seem to be:
1. Quests
2. That thing where you put patches on clothes to make them better
3. Kingdoms
4. New combat system

You're not wrong. However, there are more such as new buildings, animals that are neat-o too.

The new combat system and kingdoms are probably the two big ones. The other two mentioned, clothing and quests, are Big Things, but things that will come to you pretty quick. Also worthy of mentioning to players that haven't played in w9 is the food satiation.

It wouldn't be too hard to look through Announcements and check all the game updates there. There's about 2 dozen total, maybe a few less than that. I wouldn't bother reading through the whole thread, just jorb's post. A few things get clarified here and there, but the primary information is posted at top.

As far as world 10, the only thing for sure right now is that the tri-quality system is being dropped for now to go back to a single quality. I'm not sure it's gone for good, but in its current form, it adds complexity without any real benefits. Changes are being made to the f2p/payment model, too, but it shouldn't severely hamper anyone in my opinion.

Don't forget global resources. Those things weren't in at the start of W9 I'm moderately certain? At least I thought I played the start of this world and they weren't around.

And they cannot be claimed now either so you wont get 12 nidbanes after you for taking some brimstone. You can still wall them in I think but then theres no way to stop the walls from being broken.

They were. In fact they were one of highlights of W9.

"highlights" in the sense that they recharge abominably slowly and started off FULL, so they massively distorted the early game and then had no effect

Hopefully they all get tweaks that are severely needed. Ice and salt are OP, the mussels too slow (and OP at start of the world), and the water and guano seem to have little use in the long run (unless you can't get better water/soil respectively).
