Clear old maps before the new world

Hi! I was just thinking... It's pretty clear that old maps are useless in the new world. It's not hard to delete "map" subfolder from the client before new start, but the new assembled map seems to be stored under %APPDATA%/Haven and Hearth/data (quite a few megabytes even if you haven't traveled too much)... Will the client manage to do something about the fact of the new world or it's better to advice people to delete that as well before logging in to W10?

Few megabytes doesnt really matter in 2017. But if someone really needs that space, he can delete all contents of the folder. Doesnt affect that much into the gameplay. Other than you need to download each res again. Of course one could only delete the smallest files sized around 100 bytes which is probably only mapgrids.

Well, after a week at work I am not eager to spend even more time looking at the code. But just by the look of the things my whole map was stored there. I deleted "map" with all the sessions, but still was able to see assembled map of my journeys. And it has to be stored client side, so it has to take the space.

But it's not the space that bothers me but the fact that it's old world information (you never know how it will affect the new data). I am sure I'll clean it before starting playing in the new world and thought maybe it's worth to point out. :)

I agree. A lot of fine dust can lead to big problems over time.
