Does bonfire work inside?

If I build a bonfire outside of a house, lit it, and then go inside to feast, will it still work?

No, a bonfire only works on settings around the fire. They need to be outside, and within the radius.

edit: not sure if anyone has build a bonfire inside a great hall or not or if it is even possible (should be if not). In this case, tables would need to be inside that hall around the fire.
