How do I build anything?

I cant add items to my building sign. What should I click?
(I hadnt have this problem i previous worlds, sth changed or am I bugged?)

It does not work like legacy where you stockpile into sign. Now you build direct from inventory with build button.

Click 'Build' in the construction sign window and have the objects needed either in inventory or in stockpiles next to the construction area.
