Quests when you move location

So I noticed that my quests are still taking me to the area where I originally spawned, even though im further out of that area. Should this not change based on the location of your hearth fire, otherwise youd be trekking a long ass way for 1 quests if you move away from your initial spawn area like I have.

Just abandon the quest and listen to the winds of new lands... It got me every time to the nearest quest givers

Did you cancel all your other quests? I cancelled all mine but have not yet received another one but I read this thread;

In the 2nd post the guy did the same and got one closer.

hmmm...will try, theyre just good early on for lp gain but if you have to keep abandoning quests due to location then it's an issue.
