Armor absorbtion question.

Hello! Here's the question:
Let's say I've got 2 armor pieces on me 3/3 and 3/1 and I get hit by 10 dmg attack. If I understand correctly, 10 dmg is divided equally among my armor pieces so each takes 5. First one (3/3) takes 5 out of which 3 are deflected and 2 are absorbed and second one (3/1) takes 5 out of which 3 are deflected, 1 is absorbed and 1 goes through and damages me. So even though I've got 10 armor combined and get hit by 10 dmg I still receive 1dmg in this situation, right?

Is that correct? I think armor just absorbs as much as possible, otherwise it'd be detrimental to wear weak armor like 1/3 boots. In your case, your armor would absorb all damage (but get wear) and you will receive no SHP damage. You will, however, still receive wounds (HHP damage). Not sure how interaction between wounds and armor works.

Bumfights update changed that on paper (at least that's exactly how Jorb described it in the patch notes). I am not entirely sure it really works like that in the game though...

I've got 3/3 and 3/1 armor pieces. Just fought 3 ants(one by one ofc). I got 16 ant burns and about 40 SHP dmg, both armor pieces got 0/nvm wear so armor wasn't damaged at all while I was getting dmg over and over. What the hell is going on?

My armor wasn't preventing ANY dmg at all. Do ants have 100% armor penetration?

Yes, ants spit on you from under your armor. One of the biggest changes with that new combat I think.
