Hi.

Why when hunting a wild animal, the quality decrease every time i hit him? Is there a softcap stat to hunt now?

If you're shooting it with a bow, the arrows will softcap the hide quality. The rest should be softcapped by your tool and by survival as usual.

It would be cool to know if the quality softcapping applied to Slings too.

Also, by "Arrows softcap quality", do you mean that a higher quality arrow will ruin a hide less than a lowq one? Things like a Bear or a Moose take an eternity to kill with a sling so it would be nice to know if this is just a problem early game, until you get better arrows, or just a change in general.

I was surprised by the fact that most animals seem incredibly bad quality this world, and im curious if this was just due to me mostly using a Bow.

Slings do cap the quality and yes if your arrow quality is high enough it won't ruin the animals quality
