Quest Giver's Questee's Guide Tree Arrow Is Missing

I received a quest to greet a friend in the woods. My handy tree-arrow to show me the way is pointing at the quest giving tree, yet the second one to follow to my friend is missing. What can I do?

A) Make sure it's the active quest. Character Sheet>Quest Log
B) Make sure you're using the standard camera. The free camera is a bit buggy when it comes to pointing to quests. (Can either look straight down with "bad cam" or switch between the two.)

It is the active quest, and I turned on the standard camera. The issue persists in the default client.

Possibly the arrow is hidden behind some UI element? Rotating the camera might reveal it.

Thank you for the sound advice, however while turning the screen I was unable to spot any sign of my Quest Giver's Questee's Guide Tree Arrow.

this is an actual problem if i drop this quest i lose 2000 xp aint nobody got time for that

possibly the tree was cut or stone chipped, is the part about visiting that npc marked as red in your log?

I know not of the effects of chipping and cutting, however it was since the instant I got this quest which I was unable to locate the second Quest Giver's Questee's Guide Tree Arrow.
The color of the quest remains neutral.

did you try unchecking quest in log and focusing on it again? (IT tip)
