Level 1 Cave-in Damage

Postby linkfanpc » Tue Jan 17, 2017 4:05 am

For those who were like me and were wondering the amount of damage cave-ins from level one dealt, here we go:

I was an idiot and decided to mine a random tile in a cave, and a cave-in happened. I saw a red "122" and thought it was HHP damage and i was dead, but don't worry, it just did a 12 damage concussion and a 19 damage blunt trauma, so cave-ins on level one are very mild.
Total misplay.

If you think of cave-in damage as how much shit falls on you, than cave-in on level one makes sense. I wonder how much dmage on lvl.5 you take though.

I don't know how much caveins do now, but last world two caveins on level 3 basically put my character with 200 hhp out of commission for a day

dmg also depends where you stand, if you are between 2 tiles you take cave-in dmg TWICE.

Also it is slightly varies each time and how much health you are mining with. If you mine with 60 HP total then a cave-in can kill you as what happened with my alt. I have yet to see a cave-in kill any alt with 100+ HP.

Cave-ins will always be a knock out and damage your SHP entirely (unless you're using a mining helmet? Dunno I never bothered) but it would appear that at least on L1 the wounds and HHP damage are much less severe than in previous worlds.

You guys are madmen if you're risking characters to cave-ins after a week and a half.

I saw what i thought was iron, turns out it was flint. But i somehow completely forgot about cave-ins, so i heard a *THUMP BOOM CRASH BANG* and was like, "...Oooh...oops..."
