About village idol.

So i built village idol, he is ready now. BUT when i checked him (just pressed right click) it drained some of my lp, yet i did not pressed "found village" or anything. I thought to found a village you need to donate all lp at once (30k or at my case each member donates 7k) ? Am i wrong?
