a little help for a new noob, plz

Postby Spyware006 » Mon Jan 23, 2017 1:11 pm

I really like the game, I have about 20 hours of play but do not understand how to unlock items to craft. I want a bow, I have archery, I can make stone arrows, bone, the target ...
I can not dry the skin ... I miss many things
These are my stats

In order to unlock items you need both the appropriate skill and to have discovered crafting materials

for bow, you need string and bough

(but the bow is hard to use, a sling will be easier to use with low marksmanship)

You unlock crafting recipes by discovering the recipe components and having the needed skills. For a bow you need 2 tree boughs and 8 string(spindly taproot or stinging nettle).
You dry skins by building a drying rack(branches, tree boughs, strings needed) and hanging the raw skin on it for some time(different skins vary int drying times, with squirrel/rabbit skins being the shortest)

As for abilities, focus on exploration and survival for now. Some unarmed combat will help you with hunting

To unlock crafting recipes you need to discover all the items involved plus the skill.
In your case for the bow: archery+strings+tree bough

OP, buy all the skills that are 250 LP or less and get Survival and Exploration to 10.

That will give you lots of things to build and play with!

Then prioritize swimming, boat building and Yeomanry.

Well, not that those skills aren't usefull (you will end up buying them anyway), but... Probably you still can end up on an enclosed island this world, but chances are quite high that you don't need it to start with. The land masses are quite big now and there are plenty of shallow water "bridges" between them usually. Plus it's not day 1 of the world, there are boats there in the wilderness ready to give you a ride. :)
