It still like w8? Give a clover and beat the shit out of the animal or I need to use magic or something else? (My brother told me I need to use "Quell The Beast" to start taming)

Quell should be optional, but with this combat system it may as well be necessary

Quell is an emergency safeguard vs bear and mammoth maulings. I'm not sure it works on trolls. Oh, and add walrus to the list of emergencies you might want it for.

Guess I should add that it immediately deaggro's the animal.
Here's the patch notes for it: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=50243&p=662715&hilit=quell#p662715

There is no major issues with taming if you can facetank animal without exploits. I manage to tame with 40+8 MC and some armor. Keep in mind, that if animal will be blocked or have nowhere to run it will not peace out and you will be forced to kill it.

In general - you feed clover, you tether them, you wait till they change into aggressive stance, you punch/cop the shit out of them and repeat.
