WTF? 12.9 q for everything after butchering a wild horse

Hi guys,

Is something capping my butcher results or is this a bug?

I have butchered a wild horse and got everything with 12.9 quality.
tool = stone axe q 22.5
in spite of a concussion:
- no attributes under 13
- the only abilities under 13 = sewing, smithing and melee combat

WTF - I hoped for something good from that horse not this s...

I agree that using ranged combat to hunt has been nerfed way too hard. Its just useless.
Ranged hunting should be main method to hunt tbh. Most efficient, easy and so on. But currently its opposite of that.

Shoot a deer, it will run after you and attempt to KO you. If it does not KO you, it will run away. If you manage to kill it, it's quality is so bad...

Current system greatly encourages to use shady methods for hunting big game animals with your fists from horseback or across bunch of boulders. Which is stupid.

i agree.

hunting should be done with bow and arrow, and using stealth to approach the animal.
your stealth will help in aiming speed(simulating the animal not detecting you), and actual moving of the animal will be countered by your marksman skill.
and you should be able to see animals depending on your perception skill, and they will not run from you depending on your stealth skill.
chickens being easiest to see
but mammoths obviously also easy to see. but youll need more than 1 arrow for those
deer and below should be killable with 1 or 2 arrows.
assuming you can find, approch and hit them.
