Melee combat atrocious at the moment. To get openings you use Unarmed Combat, then using Melee Combat skill to do the damage (Ex. Cleave, chop, sting). At the moment, melee combat skills purpose for just that. Pointless to use melee skills to get openings when you can use Unarmed skills to get openings ten times faster. For stances, shield up blocks a lot of openings, but being a tank that can't fight is worthless.

Well, Sideswipe + Shield Up is brainless and effective way to tame and hunt. I don`t think there is any attack in UA that will create openings and deal comparable amount of damage like Sideswipe. All other MC attacks either require IP, or are complete shit.

For combat you don't have to deal damage and get openings at the same time... You can do uppercut until you have 60 openings ( which is easy since uppercut opens quite a bit), then do side swipes or full circles.

Why should i NOT do damage if i can? :)
I don`t even need high openings to kill small animals, and for big animals i use OP-Knock.

And yea, you can get 40 MC, don`t bother with UA and complicated combat moves at all and still hunt animals with sideswipe.

P.S. I don`t pretend MC is in any comparison better than UA, it have one good combo for hunting/taming that is easy and effective for newbies (but require good sword and armor).

Better to show him what's useful and what will always be useful, UA. When I was a noob back in W3 I didn't have the mindset "Just kill animals and call it a day" I said I wanted to kill people too. MC is useless it's not worth getting it for just sideswipe.

MC stances are usable, but attacks aren't.

From MC gilds you get agility and MC.
So you need to invest less LP and agi food to hunt animals.
Its completely fine for just hunting if you don't plan on fighting any players(players may decide to fight you though).
