Feasting question

Postby linkfanpc » Tue Feb 07, 2017 5:47 am

What determines the bonus of hunger and FEPs? With all my tableware i should be getting a 29% hunger modifier but i only get a 57% hunger modifier. What effects it?
Total misplay.

There's reduced effectiveness from having more than one of the same type of object like more than 1 cup/plate and so on

Ah, i have a wine glass and wooden goblet and a wooden plate and earthenware platter, so they all have reduced effectiveness? Makes much sense, thanks! :)

EDIT: Seems many things still aren't working correctly. With just an earthenware platter, i only get 4% hunger modifier while it's UI says it should give over ten.

It's how the math works. It's not 1.00 - x1 - x2 - xN. It's 1.00 * (1.00 - x1) * (1.00 - x2) and so forth. A 10% reduction when you're already at 50% only brings you to 45%. Otherwise, you could easily end up below 0.00 hunger reduction.

Actually, 10% while being at 50% will bring you to 47.6%, not 45%. It's feasting efficiency. If you have 100% hunger bonus from tableware, you've got 100+100=200% feasting efficiency, which means 100/200=0.5, or 50% hunger. Getting 10% more will mean 100/210=~0,476. Having 200% from tableware will make you get 33.3% hunger from food, 300% - 25% hunger etc.

I knew there was some sort of diminishing returns for adding more objects, I just couldn't remember what it was. Thanks for the follow up. The wiki article is a bit vague on the table and symbel bonuses the last time I read it.
