Since gilding, do they offer any stats like a bear cape, or are they useless compared to merchants robe?

Theyb give a bonus to stealth when the hoods up, past that they have farming affinity with gilding, might have another affinity.

No, they suck. They give none of the stats they used to. They do give stealth while the hood is up though.
Total misplay.
