Hi.
I know that there are a lot of guides about combat system, sorry if im REALLY idiot but i dont understand the combat system, i dont know what is sweeping, strike and the off balance, i killed ants and learned a few "combat techs" using sidestep and punch but i did it only because i saw a guy from a video killing ants using that skills, now i tried using quick dodge and punch, and i saw that i recieved less damage for quick dodge... i guess, i dont know.
Can someone explain all this crazy stuff, please?

Thanks, the last questions that i have are:
-What are those 1/3, or3/3 in a move? Ex: Punch 1/3
-And there a limit of moves that you can learn from a type of enemy?

yeah, i am also lost when it comes to combat. i umderstood last worlds combat system but im totally lost with this one. I've read guide after guide, and all i can understand is that i have bars that i make sure stay low using the colored boxes XD unfortunatley i have 20 ua and still cant kill ants..

Ants have some kind of weird attack that almost always goes through your defenses, no matter how low the openings are. Try bats, and just spam punch. If your agility is about 15-20 and 20 ua you can definitely do it. You will take a little bit of damage but thats normal

Remember to just spam punch, it's not worth quick dodging them, this combat system is all about keeping a fight short before the damage ramps up.

This is how I roll as player at my first world , correct any errors plz :D :P

Hi mate ...

I have had a huge problem with the combat system aswell as you , so dont feel like a dummie (=
Though most problem got solved when I meet my exp neighboor of mine and he told me a bit of the shit :D

He says theres one deck you need and one only ... I use it for foxes , wolverines, horses , boars , lynx etc

Deck lock like this :

Shield up : Use it once with a shield and y get extra armor/block for hit dmg
Parry: Seems to me when used it replaces shield up , Instead the cooldowns for your attacks is allot faster
Uppercut: As I see it ... The more you use Uppercut before starting to punch or swipe the more dmg you will do with thoose skills.... I usually use it 3-4 times on foxes ... Boars and harder ones I just uppercut uppercut uppercut , 7-8 times and y get a descent dmg to it .... (succesfully get a god hit?!?!)
Sideswipe: With sword or other sharpedged weapon , you use this after uppercut to make the acctual blows ...
Punch: Just added up to tame animals ... lower dmg than sideswipe ofcourse
Take Aim: This adds upp initiave points for thoose skills you need em for , suppose the more points u add the more powerfull the skills are , not a 100% sure ... But each time you use take aim you get 1 point ... Spaaamm it and then use a skill that uses iniative points . ofcourse spends the point aswell ....



The next 2 skills i never used yet and not rlly sure what they do , will ask my friend and come back as soon as
Yield Ground
zig zag


Hoppefully I made some sence in explaining it ... Test it out ... Basically I just go Shieldupp.... or Parry depending on the animal I hunt ... then just Uppercut alot and then sideswipe ....

UA "Unarmed Combat"

Is your defence it seems , I still got some dmg from foxes and I got told to raise my UA ...

So pretty much to be a descent figher ... Y gear up ofcourse ...

Agility is the speed you hit with , the more y got the faster your cooldown is
Strenght like you said is the dmg , added with the Quality of your weapon I suppose
Constitution is your hp , more is always better , rite :D
Melee Combat is for fighting with sword, when you get one ofcourse .... Improves your moves ... Guess they mean the power of your skills in your combat deck ... Aswell as higher chance to block hits with your shield ...

You should mix Unarmed and Melee skill...

Dont think you should bother markmanship... Unless .. I crafted a sling early on , raised my MS alittle to aim better ... And hunted rabbits and squrells ... Aswell as hedgehogs ...
Instead of y have to chase the fookers ^^ You wait til they stand still , move to a range of 3 -4 tiles and aim for it , then y slung y rock at them :D Saves alot of energy , when y dont have to run that much

BTW you should read it too Slipz0r, you seem to have some misunderstandings about the combat system too. Primarily the advice to raise both UA and MC, in the current meta MC is useless, pure UA is the way to go. But in that case you shouldn't use Parry and Shield Up, but rather Oak Stance and Combat Meditation. The reason is that damage depends just on opening and not on attack's weight (for Sideswipe that's MC and the number of Sideswipe cards in deck). UA attacks are much better at raising openings, and MC attacks are better at dealing damage once opening's are up, but like I said you don't really need any combat weight for the latter.
