What should i have in my farm?

Postby r21187 » Sun Feb 26, 2017 8:51 am

is a small one and i been trying to get percepcion as high as posible thanks god that is not a problem anymore

but now what i do with over 9,000 carrots of low level?

well that is another problem

what i really ask is for what i should be farming?

i think the only future i have with this of farming is if i create a huge load of treeplots and garden pots with stuff i find in the wild

btw i have enough carrots for like never have starvation damage jezz that takes a very long time in heal

Run a small (4-8 tiles) field for every crop available ingame (so you can cycle them to raise their quality should you ever need it for something) and some bigger (depending on your needs) production fields where you mass-farm the stuff you actually need (like hemp/flax for fibers).

Yep square of 3x3 should be enough for a small hermitage.

And Make some Beehives.

3x3 fields :
- Onions
- Carrots
- Beetroot
- Poppies

10x5 fields :
- Flax
- Hemp
- Wheat
- Barley

1x6 (with 2/3 trellis on each plot) :
- Grapes
- Hops
- Pepper (Not the most important for you)
- Cuncumber

1x6 without trellis :
- Lettuce
- Pumpkin
- Tobacco

After that, think about some Chicken coops (2 or more).

Good Recipes for your Perception :

PS: Stop eating raw carrots dude ! :)

Any more, if you're not careful, you'll hit 100 PER before you blink. Fish, mushrooms, nuts, berries, ants, bats, forage recipes, low-mid tier baking recipes....

Without hunting a lot, STR becomes the difficult one to raise.

I would like to add that because of the way farming currently works if quality is important to you instead of quantity I recommend planting in 5hr intervals. So if you do a 5x6 plot you could plant 2 rows 3 times each offset by 5hrs. You then wait for everything to grow then repeat with the highest quality that you got. This slows down farming but almost guarantees a quality improvement.

Jorb and loftar could change the way farming works in any of the upcoming patches making this not work anymore.

It's just good to have an extra coop to store the chicks to allow them to grow into adults without eggs hogging the space

Agree, but point was...

And getting good FEPs from meat usually implies needing metal for frying pan or sausage grinder. There are good hunting tips here for those new to the game, but they take practice and some knowledge of systems first. Nothing is particularly "easy" for the new guy.

That is just what i done and then plant the next higher

but now i need ropes so i planted a lot of hemp i always need strings so i hope get enough this time

but yeah i get a thing to get good soil using the Compost Bin so i am thinking in getting good level or any food i still dont know wich one is the fastest one so i can increase the quality and then use it to get Mulch in the compost bin and then for the chickens i think they level up if i get them good food too
