Several chicken questions.

Hello!
1. How does water softcap chicks? Is it just a plain softcap or is it an average between water and fodder that actually softcaps chicks?
2. If I take the hen out of the coop and then place it back, will it's "egg-laying" timer reset?
3. How are chicks softcapped exactly? I mean do they get -1q every time they eat a fodder of lower q or do they lose q according to the difference between their q and fodder's q?(The bigger the difference the more they lose each time preventing us from raising chicks much higher than fodder(water))

About how quality affects the chiken :

When Chicks are hatched, they will need to eat three times to grow into adult chickens (either Chickens or Cocks, though the odds seem to lean towards Chickens). Each time they eat, their quality decreases if the fodder quality is less than their own quality.

about the quality of food:

When a bucket is right clicked onto the chiken coop, A portion of its contents will come out as swill, displaying the average quality of the fodder inside.

This is useful for several reasons, including removing low quality fodder from your stations and transfering fodder from one station to another.

About the egg.laying system is unknow and i dont find information but there is not reason to do that focus on having good food and water wont matter

takes time to increase quality what i do is take the eggs and chikecn of low levels and they increase with time

Above guy has no clue, but yes water does also softcap chick quality it seems (which sucks because you can't take water from a coop-jorb pls)

I'll have to do more testing, but it seems the softcaps of food and water happen separately, as in a quality 20 chick, upon eating q10 food and drinking q10 water, will go down to 12.5 (soft capped by food and water seperately) rather than 15 (soft capped by an average of the two)
