As a brand new player I have wounds that I can only get rid of with Toad Butter and Gauze. So I have to stay like this till I can get the proper skill and equipment to make said items?

Also as a brand new player I don't have the skill to stake a land claim so other then walk around and explore I am kind of lost on what to do next? I caan build a house but someone may come along and wreck it so any advice would be great as opposed to just wonder around aimlessly. Thank you...

Explore, gain curiosities, DON'T GET KILLED and You will develop skills that will allow You to stake claim (Yeomanry).

If wounds don't have somewhere "will heal overtime" You have no other choice than developing certain skills or producing specified medicines. Eventually, if You get super lucky, You can find acient root which immediatly heals random wounds equal to it's quality.

there is a quest when you have to greet an npc my question is how do you greet someone ? I dont see an emote for that...

To greet, right click the npc and it will have an option "Greet"
