Can I add the hide into tanning tub after the water is in

Or do i need to put hide in first? Also I see on the wiki that it says to add bark till concentration level is 5%. I only see one barand it is brown and full meaning I would assume because its full of water? How do I know when I have enough bark in there?

Put as much bark as possible. You can put water in, then hide, doesn't matter.

If you put as much bark as possible, you can use the same fluid multiple times until the fluid turns water-like instead of brown, then you just put as much bark as you can again.
