Palisade

I have a palisade already built, but it's a simple square with only 4 corners

If I build another palisade and extend it up to the existing wall creating a T section with no corner piece there, will the wall be secure preventing people from walking through it?

In theory, if there's no room between sections, yeah. In practice, no. Haven is a game in alpha development and bugs and such have popped up here and there where flaws like this get exploited. Use a Wrecking Ball to make a hole there, rebuild up a corner post where you want it, and then extend it.

Bonus: you'll be able to save the wrecking ball for later use if you need it.
