stone,bone.metal arrow damage?

Postby r21187 » Mon Mar 13, 2017 4:56 am

so finnaly i can mine iron and tin ores and have way too few iron but many tin ore that i can use to create metal arowns

but since i just learned that if i use stones level 10 i will keep getting animals dead level 10

so my question is

if i use a metal arrow will do more damage than a bone arrow? if so how much more damage?

i mean i been getting nice crabs level 20 or 30 that are good ssource or good bones

but if i use metal arrow level 10 will do more damage than a bone arrow level 20?

and how many arrows will i need to kill letts say a fox?

i mean i been using stones and takes me forever to kill anyanimal and i trap them cause they run so i lure them to a hill and then caged them and star trowing stones

but if i use metal arrows level 10 will that lower the level of beastss? and will do same damage as stones?

btw how much marksmanship will i require to use a bow with not taking forever to charge?

Whatever you use for arrows will cap the animal.

Archery is unsupported. Use melee & exploits or enjoy shit quality animals.

Even without exploits, if You are able to make sword and armor and put some unnarmed combat in, after some training on bats/ants You should be able to kill foxes and badgers, laters boars and get slowly better Q stuff.

Depends on what you want to kill. I'd start directly with bats (just ignore the stupid ants) and you can kill them with ~20 UA, but to be safe it's better to be closer to 30. For just in case - try to do it not too far from the cave entrance so you can run away if it feels too hard. And check the table in this guide, I'd say it's quite realistic - viewtopic.php?f=42&t=54070

Nope. Melee combat will keep the q of the animal. So, get a sword, fight animals to get the moves, raise the stats, get a horse and you can kill a bear in a "fair" (well, just kite him) fight in not too long time from now.

NOW THAT IS A ANSWER

Thanks yeah i will try to lure a seal to my cage just cause i whant kill one but as you have say i will train in then unarmed combat

lets say i get a sword that will still counts as a unarmed combat? or sword skill is with another ability?

i can make now boar spears i will guess that is better than a steel axe fighiting right?

You use unnarmed combat to create openings.
You use weapon only to deal damage, after You created enough of opening using unnarmed combat moves.

Example: You have 50 unnarmed combat, 1 melee combat, 30 agility:

Kick -> Kick -> Kick -> Kick -> Sideswipe -> Sideswipe etc.

Kick is unnarmed combat move so unnarmed combat counts here.
Sideswipe is melee combat move but as You used Kick (UA) to make opening, it doesn't matter. Only Q and type of weapon matter at this point.

THANKS A LOT!

yeah still got me confused that of "openins" but for what i understand the more openins i do the more damage i will do

i killed a fox a deer even a horse with stones and i got moves

what i think i know is "Take Aim " "Think " what could be the best combo?

btw what you mean i have 1 melee combat is that a skill or ability?

i have way too low agility i will need increase that

Openings are something You could call a hole in defense, bigger it is, more damage You can do to your enemy.
Take aim is a skill that allows You to collect Initiative points (IP) that are needed to use certain moves (for example: Chop).
Some people hunt by using Take Aim x4 -> Think 4x -> Punch x times -> Opportunity Knock (it doubles an opening) and then -> Chop to death.

1 Melee combat is your ability You start with (everything like survival, UA, masonry, etc. start at 1). You don't have to put a single point into MC for hunting.
