Hunting Moles?

How does one hunt a mole? Whenever I sprint at them, they just dig away

Forage a clover, use it on a wild horse, giddyup, gallop over the fucker, he's dead.

They're not really useful though.

sometimes they dont dig and just run away from you then they are easy to catch (think it has to do with the terrain they're on or just bad AI)

but they're about as useful as a squirrel without a tail

they dont always have a paw but i noticed that after 3 or 4 times they dug they wont dug again

so huntem if posible far away from clifs and close to rivers
