Belt and hotkeys.

Postby LaserSaysPew » Wed Mar 15, 2017 6:41 pm

How do I equip smth from the belt using a hotkey to the L hand slot?

Example:
I've got 2 bags in my hands. Shield and sword are on the belt. Sword hotkey - 1, shield - 2. I need to press 1 and 2 and get my sword and shield out. But if I press 1 and 2 in reality: first I get my sword out to Rslot while bag goes to the belt, then I get my shield out to Rslot while sword goes to the belt. The bag in the L hand slot remains untouched. How do I put smth from the belt to that damn L slot instead of constantly switching sword and shield(or anything else) in the Rslot?

You can't. The belt is mostly a means to automatically swap tools you need for doing tasks such as digging, farming, lumberjacking, etc, not for storing sword and shield. Methods for pulling specific items out of any inventory are somewhat random in how they get equipped. If you hotkey swapped a sword, and then went to hotkey swap a shield, it could put the shield in the other hand, or it could put the shield in the hand the sword was in. It's worth noting that it doesn't matter which hand is holding what. Consider all characters ambidextrous.

If you can get hold of a client with a scripting interface, you could do it that way. I'm not sure if someone would have a script already made for such things or not.

Thx for the answer.
Actually, it always goes to Rhand unless Lhand is empty(and Rhand is not). If both slots are occupied, the belt always changes the Rslot.

Ok, maybe I was thinking of combat and having two eligible weapons and it's not defines which one it uses.. hmm. I'll try to remember that one. Thanks. (Maybe it's because I always carry a bucket and never pay attention to what hand I put it in and I swap it around like a hot potato, too.)
