Taming Questions

Postby Seirai » Wed Mar 22, 2017 8:50 am

So today, I had my horse at 90/100 and since my stats are very lackluster, I built the hitching post next to the water and cheesed the fights with a boat.

However, on my last timing session it died from only punching, take aim, think, and opportunity knocks being used. Are you actually supposed to beat it exclusively with punch? Or was the hitching post too far from the deep water where I beat the horse?

the type of attack does not matter, what it sounds like may have happened is perhaps you forgot to "Peace" before damage got to high.

I strictly remember having it on peace though but perhaps I had forgotten the last taming session. :-(

To clarify though, you can have opportunity knocks, take aim and think in your combat deck right?

Well, I found myself another horse & mouflon yesterday and I combated them today to try and progress the taming and they died again.

I peace'd them for certain this time and yet they still did not yield until they were dead. I searched the topic on the forums and apparently cheesing them causes them to die now?

Make sure they have space to flee.
