Trellis Crop Quality

Some crops planted on a Trellis(grapes, Peppers, etc) will remain on the trellis after harvest. Will their QL just go up naturally after the harvest? And is it better to smash the trellis, and replant from seeds again, if I want to get the most QL gain?

• Crops don't increase automatically.
• Using destroy on the plant itself keeps the trellis intact.
• It takes a very long time to grow from scratch, q gain is very slow for grapes/hops/pepper.
